Description

Epic Trail is a folklore trail run through Japan: pine-covered coasts and high mountain peaks, inspired by Japanese landscapes and the yokai of old tales. Set off from camp, find your rhythm and keep your eyes open: on this trail, not everything is what it seems.

Run with your reflexes

Swipe to change lanes, leap over obstacles, slide under hazards and take sharp corners. Cross rivers, brave tunnels and react as the pace picks up.

Rest with your instincts

Running takes stamina. Stop for a drink, spend the night at an inn, soak in a mountain onsen or draw an omikuji at a roadside shrine. Look closely: a friendly stop may be a kitsune or a tanuki in disguise, a kappa may challenge you to sumo, and luck can change what happens next.

Face the gatekeepers

Each journey ends at a gate, and its gatekeeper won't let you through without a chase. Race the tanuki along the coast, then see who waits at the next gate.

Make each run your own

Collect coins on the trail and bring them back to camp. Pick your look, equip gear and a charm, earn feats along the way and head out with a new approach.
